It’s difficult for me to comment on this as I don’t know the full situation for you or your partner.

It appears that the vast majority of Trichomoniasis is sexually transmitted.

However there have been cases where it looks like Trichomoniasis has been passed via non-sexual situations.  They believe this could happen because with the proper wet environment and temperature trichomoniasis can survive outside the human body for more than 3 hours. Given this it may be possible to get Trichomoniasis by sharing bathing implements, sitting naked on a wet contaminated bench etc….
